A renowned sprinter in the 1990s, he is also a World Vice-Champion, European Champion, and has won no fewer than 33 French Championship titles in individual and relay events.
Graduating from ISG and ESCP, where he earned a Master’s degree in 1992, he successfully transitioned into the finance sector. He began his international career in investment banking at JP Morgan, then moved to the global leader in environmental services, Suez, before joining General Electric, where he remained for 14 years. He held roles of increasing responsibility in Europe and the United States in structured finance, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Euromedic, a leading healthcare group in Eastern Europe.
He is currently based in London, where he worked until 2013 as the Commercial and Marketing Director of GE Capital UK, leading a team of over 200 people across Europe.
Convinced of the importance of sports in professional life, Stephan Caron was also responsible for GE HealthAhead, an initiative to improve the health of 4,000 GE employees across Europe.
Never far from the pools, Stephan was a consultant for Canal+ during the Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000), and Beijing (2008) Olympics, and for RTL during the recent London 2012 Olympic Games. He is currently working on organizing a unique swimming event in Singapore.
Stephan offers a unique perspective on the skills required to optimize individual and collective performance, as well as on leadership and coaching, through his dual experience at the highest levels in both sports and professional arenas.
