Sophie Backer

Sophie Backer began her career as a journalist at the age of 20, at a time when private radio stations were shaking up the French media landscape. In 1985, she joined Radio France Internationale where, after a few international reports (Mali, Sri Lanka), she became a presenter of news bulletins and information programs, conducting live interviews with guests. In the 1990s, as deputy editor-in-chief, Sophie Backer supported a new transformation by participating in the establishment of the continuous news channel at RFI.
