About Royce de Vries
Royce de Vries is a media law attorney and partner at De Vries Van Spanje lawyers in Amsterdam. He guides clients in complex, often media-sensitive issues surrounding reputational damage, privacy, press freedom, online framing, and cybercrime. As an experienced media lawyer, he understands better than anyone how law and media reinforce, challenge – and sometimes collide with – each other.
In addition to his work as a lawyer and speaker, Royce is also an author. In 2023, his much-discussed book ‘I Promise You That I Will Live to One Hundred‘ – a personal and poignant story about the close bond with his father, Peter R. de Vries.
