Ramona Karlsson is a trailblazing pioneer in motorsport and one of the few women in the world who has competed at the highest level in both rally and rallycross. With stories of cars on fire in New Zealand, cliff edges in Mexico and race cars that go from 0–100 km/h in under two seconds, she takes the audience straight into a world where courage, determination and teamwork decide everything.
Coming from very modest financial circumstances, she decided early on that she would become a professional rally driver in a sport that demands huge resources and strong teams. Through creative thinking, relentless focus on her goals and a solution-oriented mindset, she has built her career from the ground up and established herself as one of the world’s most successful female rally drivers – despite having previously struggled with social anxiety and very tough external conditions.
On stage, Ramona delivers a high-energy keynote about how to turn setbacks, prejudice and poor odds into fuel for success. She speaks about the courage to take calculated risks and perform under extreme pressure, and about teamwork, communication and trust when everything happens at 230 km/h. She addresses leadership in demanding situations and how to build trust within a team, and shows how a solution-oriented mindset creates action instead of paralysis.
Together with her co-driver Miriam Walfridsson, she has written Swedish motorsport history as the first all-female crew to win a championship event in the top class and to challenge the world elite. The blind trust between driver and co-driver becomes a powerful metaphor for collaboration, communication and accountability in any type of organisation.
Off the track, Ramona has worked as a stunt driver, driving instructor and mentor for young drivers, with a special commitment to encouraging more girls to claim space in male-dominated environments. She shows how norms and prejudice can be transformed into a driving force, and how individuals and organisations can create a culture where differences are seen as strengths.
