She was appointed a member of the High Council for Integration in 2002. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Arab World Institute, and of the Council for the Analysis of Society.
In 2007, Jeannette Bougrab was appointed Rapporteur at the Council of State.
In early 2010, she was appointed President of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Social Cohesion and Equal Opportunities (ACSE). Three months later, proposed by the presidency of the Republic, she became President of the High Authority for the Fight Against Discrimination and for Equality (HALDE), a position she left seven months later to join the Fillon government as Secretary of State for Youth and Associative Life.
