Business leader and researcher in management sciences, Jean-Denis Budin has a unique career path. He transformed the bankruptcy of his company into an EDBA doctorate, then into a Residential Training Center for Leaders (CREDIR in Kientzheim).
High school diploma at 16, ESSEC at 20, he had a thirst for discovery and went to sell engines in Australia. At 29, he managed a subsidiary of Alcatel and traveled the world. At 39, he initiated a L.B.O. (Leverage Buy Out) on an Alsatian company.
The bankruptcy occurred 5 years later. The once eager student discovered failure and burnout. However, he befriended his Court-Appointed Administrator who sponsored his thesis. He was continually surprised by the irrational behaviors of leaders in difficulty.
In 2009, he founded D.A.T.P. Conseil, a company supporting business leaders, and taught at the Strasbourg School of Management. He also embarked on 300 days of research, which earned him commendations from the University of Paris Dauphine in June 2012 for his thesis. It was subsequently published in early 2013.
The conference derived from this work, “key success factors in failure” or “succeed-fail-rebound,” impresses audiences. Formats range from one hour, with little interactivity, to a full-day workshop.
Jean-Denis will undoubtedly captivate you regardless of the topic discussed. His journey has filled him with positive energy. His curiosity, mastery of French, English, and even German, make him a versatile speaker and facilitator.
