Gérard Laizé was born in 1951 and has an economic and social background. He is currently the General Director of VIA (Valorization of Innovation in Furniture), a Member of the Scientific and Cultural Council of the National Institute of Crafts, a Member of the Academic Affairs Council of the French Institute of Fashion, President of the Steering Committee of the ‘Design & Brand’ Circle, and Exhibition Curator.
As a strategy specialist, he has served as Marketing Director in the industry and distribution, in France and abroad for 20 years, including 8 years as International Marketing Director at “Habitat”, 2 years as Marketing Director at “Matra Horlogerie” (Repositioning of 11 watch brands representing 40% of the French market), and 5 years as Marketing Director of Krys Opticians (Development of the strategic positioning of the market-leading chain and network development).
His forward-thinking work has been the subject of publications and conferences at various business and design schools, universities, conventions, and professional meetings, both in France and internationally.
