Christian de Kraker is an associate lector at the chair of Entrepreneurship in Change (Hanze University of Applied Sciences & Alfa College). He has been dealing with issues surrounding future thinking, inclusion, and trends in social innovation and AI for years. In his role as an ethicist, researcher, speaker, and connector, Christian translates urgent societal themes into inspiring stories, thought-provoking insights, and concrete tools for policy and practice.
Having studied and worked in South Africa and the Netherlands, and as a research leader in European and national projects such as AI & Fairness at Npuls, he connects cultural sensitivity with AI & Equal Opportunities at national organizations. He precisely highlights how AI can contribute to socially responsible entrepreneurship. His recent vision project with, among others, Theo Bakker and Erdinc Sacan led to a concrete future perspective on the fair implementation of AI in higher education, vocational education, and training. In his speaking, Christian employs an engaging argumentative style. Whether it concerns future thinking, AI and Equal Opportunities, or intercultural communication, the stories of people themselves are always central. This makes him an authentic and engaged speaker.
Next autumn (2025), his book ‘Future Thinking and Mental Health‘ will be published, following his earlier books AI and Equal Opportunities, Flight Forward, and Entrepreneurial Journeys, in which he shows how professionals creatively shape their future despite uncertainty or systemic pressure.
With his background as a teacher, trainer, and international executive (including Teffari and Alephsurf), Christian knows how to reach diverse audiences: from students to policymakers, from NGOs to entrepreneurs. He speaks at conferences, study days, at municipalities, universities of applied sciences, and in media such as NPO Radio 1.
