Antoin Peeters joined the economic channel RTL Z as a reporter in 2001. A year later, he started in the same role at RTL Nieuws.
Antoin Peeters has been the regular presenter of RTL Nieuws on RTL4 since 2015. Prior to that, he worked for many years as a reporter both domestically and internationally. Antoin can be engaged as a moderator, discussion leader, and presenter at events covering a wide range of topics. His experience as a reporter and presenter allows him to switch quickly yet professionally. Antoin is sharp, but also has a sense of perspective, is interested, and always well-prepared.
In 2001, Antoin Peeters joined the economic channel RTL Z as a reporter/presenter. A year later, he started in the same role at RTL Nieuws. In early 2012, he became a reporter for the Royal House, traveling around the world, from Brunei to Washington. Additionally, he frequently filled in for the news anchors of the Half Eight News, RTL Z, and the Breakfast News. Since late May 2015, Antoin has been the regular anchor of RTL Nieuws, succeeding Rick Nieman. In 2017, Antoin was the debate leader of the major Carré debate with the national party leaders for the House of Representatives elections. This program was broadcast live and attracted millions of viewers. In 2019, he presented a series of talk shows on RTL Z titled “MKB Entrepreneurs’ Café.”
Antoin Peeters studied Journalism in Tilburg and Media & Culture in Rotterdam. He began his career as a reporter at Stadsomroep Venlo when they were looking for a journalist to cover the trial of De Bende van Venlo. He then worked at the regional broadcasters Omroep Limburg and RTV West. In 2006, Antoin Peeters was nominated for the Philip Bloemendal Prize; an award for talented young radio and television makers. He is now a member of the jury for this prestigious award.
