Ten years ago, she already wrote columns for Boeddha Magazine, and then was often a sidekick guest on the EO program ‘Dit is de Zondag’. Currently, she is developing a podcast on paranormal matters with scientist Jacob Jolij, where she shares her own experiences. Politics is her greatest hobby. By combining it with her other topics, she frequently engages with the question of how to live well together and what an inclusive and sustainable society should look like.
Anouk shares her ideas and questions in many ways. She writes essays, jokes, songs, and articles; she presents, interviews, and sings. Anouk studied journalism and in 2012 made a documentary about a vegan, self-sufficient commune in Portugal, which was broadcast on NPO3. In 2015, she worked as a journalist for Haarlems Dagblad for two years, where her stories often made national news. During that time, she also studied one day a week at the Koningstheateracademie, a cabaret school in Den Bosch.
After her work at Haarlems Dagblad, she began as a cabaret journalist at NRC, where she wrote many major interviews; she now combines those with writing essays. She also worked as a presenter for Metro. She wrote several erotic stories for the platform Rouze. She currently works as an editor and joke writer for Dit Was Het Nieuws. At Alfabet Uitgevers, she is working on a book about the witch, an archetype that connects all her themes: nature, the position of women, and the mystical.
