Sipke Jan Bousema (1976) is a man with many talents. He has over twenty years of experience as a program maker, presenter, director, producer, actor, and voice-over for television, film, and theater. Due to his empathy, he is sought after by companies and institutions as a moderator and presenter of events. He is trained as a communication & psychology coach and organizes workshops, among other things, in which he interactively provides groups of people with tools to achieve their personal goals in life.

With his programs and productions, he has won various awards and gained national and international recognition from peers. While Sipke Jan finds this beautiful and honorable, his driving force is to bring human stories and topics that matter to the forefront.

An example… In 2012, he was nominated for the prestigious Prix Jeunesse in Munich, Germany, with his program about twelve-year-old Joppe, a girl who was born a boy. The subject was controversial, and it did not surprise him that he did not win. For him, it was more important that the issue received attention and became a topic of discussion.

This characterizes him. He does not just want to entertain. He primarily wants to inform and inspire people. He does this both in front of and behind the scenes. That is why he is also an ambassador for Unicef and the Media Literacy Week, an initiative to make children aware and knowledgeable about media.

In 2012, he made the documentary Fighters for Love, about gay men and women who have to fight for the right to love each other in the countries where they live. In 2013, this initiative grew into the large-scale human rights concert Fighters for Love On Stage.
