Simone Zanoni is one of the great chefs recognized on the international stage. A graduate of the ‘Instituto Commerciale di Lombardia’ (Italy), he was also awarded in 2004 by the Guid BMW Italia as the best Italian chef working abroad. That same year, he also received the Acon Awards, which honors the 20 young talents of the year from the hospitality industry. Barely finished with his studies and holding his cooking diploma, Simone decided to go to England to refine his skills. He did not speak a word of English at the time but managed to establish himself as an essential and extremely talented chef. From 1997 to 2001, he started as a commis and then chef de partie at Restaurant Aubergine (one Michelin star) in London. In 2001, he was recruited by Gordon Ramsay Holdings, still in London, as a rotating Sous-chef. Until 2003, he replaced the chefs at the restaurants Amarylis (one star), Petrus (two stars), and Claridges (one star). During this experience, he completed his training as a Head Chef, particularly in menu creation, purchasing management, training, and staff management. In 2003, he became Head Chef at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (3 stars) in London. He collaborated for 4 years alongside the world-renowned chef, Gordon Ramsay. Since 2007, Simone Zanoni has been the Executive Chef of the Trianon Palace Hotel and Head Chef of the Restaurant Gordon Ramsay at Trianon (2 Michelin stars) in Versailles, France. This recognition is the result of Simone’s efforts and talent. Now trilingual, in Italian, English, and French, Simone offers his expertise and know-how in the form of consulting. He is notably an advisor to Gordon Ramsay’s Restaurants in Italy (Sardinia and Tuscany) and for the company GRSA, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He also opened a new Parisian concept in 2011 with the company Simone e Nicola, of which he is the manager.
