Serdar Gözübüyük is a Dutch referee and entrepreneur. He is the youngest official to be promoted on the FIFA list of internationally officiating referees. Serdar Gözübüyük started as a goalkeeper for the football club HFC DCO. He was later asked to officiate youth matches as a referee, which was the moment he found his calling in football and fully focused on a career as a referee. In the 2006/2007 season, he appeared on the C-list of the KNVB, where he began officiating Eerste Divisie matches. The Eredivisie followed shortly after; he made his debut in May 2010 at Heracles Almelo-ADO Den Haag. In his first season as a referee, he was voted the best referee and received the Golden Card.

As of January 1, 2012, Serdar Gözübüyük became the youngest referee in the Netherlands ever to be promoted on the international FIFA list. Since then, he has officiated matches all over the world. In December 2015, he was promoted from group 2 to group 1 within FIFA, allowing him to officiate matches in the Europa League and the Champions League. He is now part of the Elite group of UEFA referees (a group of the best 25 referees in Europe). In the Netherlands, he has officiated more than 400 professional football matches, twice a Johan Cruyff final, a cup final, and more than 10 Champions League matches for UEFA. He has also been voted the best referee of the year multiple times.
In addition to his career as a referee, he is a successful independent entrepreneur. He shows young people across the Netherlands that success can be achieved by clearly setting goals. With his life story, he makes clear where he comes from and how he has achieved his own goals, while still being on his journey.
