About Salva Rock

Mindshaker, edutainer, empathetic, passionate… Salva Lopez, a.k.a. Salva ROCK, is the “electric guitar speaker”, a reinvented professional who lives in the intersection of several worlds: business, music and education:

1. BUSINESS: licensed in Economics and Business Administration, with two post-graduate degrees in Market Research and Marketing Management. Almost 15 years of marketing experience in national and international environments, in different sectors: Telecom (Telefonica Group), Pharma (Sanofi-Aventis Labs) and Food industries. Occupying different positions as head of market intelligence, market analyst and CMO.

2. MUSIC: singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, for years singing gospel and negro spirituals in different choirs, founder of three rock bands. He’s released two CD’s with his own songs (both available on Spotify), he’s now working on his third CD while collaborating as a guitar player with a jazz band, and as a drum player with a band of Funk music. He runs his own studio (Star’s Alchemy) where he produces his music and occasionally helps other musicians to make their own.

3. ACADEMIC: innovative and disruptive teacher of marketing, innovation and creativity, academic collaborator of ESADE Business School (Barcelona) since 2008, and occasionally invited as a teacher in other Business Schools and Universities across Spain. Last course his students, from all over the world, graded him 9,7 out of 10 in recognition for his efforts to create appealing, innovative and effective sessions.

He combines this background with other activities as:
• TRAINER: he gives workshops on different topics: Creativity 4 Business People, User Experience Optimization and Speak in public.

• WRITER: He has written two books about what organizations and professionals can learn from musicians (only in Spanish by now):
o Business ROCKvolution, lessons from the world of music for leaders and entrepreneurs (Ed. URANO, 2011)
o Pursuing Excellence: the real value of processes (only iBook format).
o He’s currently writing a new book on disruptive teaching.

• RADIO BROADCASTER: founder and director of two radio shows about music and musicians for 7 years (COMRadio, Barcelona). Now this project is over.

SALVA ROCK IN THE INTERNATIONAL MEDIA

Salva has appeared in countless occasions in the worldwide press from India to the USA, including Bloomberg’s Business Week, Financial Times Europe, The Times of India… Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Austria, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Bolivia… he’s appeared in countless media in three continents. Besides his media appearances, Salva is frequently requested to write for national and international media.

Salva ROCK is a curious, creative mind, a true learnaholic, he’s always connecting the dots between new and old ideas finding inspiring ways and odd angles to understand Reality. Since 2009 he has given rocking talks for all types of companies and events in 12 countries on 3 continents. Also, frequently requested as a master of ceremonies/moderator. He’s success is a result of years of experience, customization of his talks and the richness of music as an inspiring, fun source of unexpected knowledge for business people. As a matter of fact, in 2016 he was voted by the audience (+1000) as one of the three best speakers at the World Marketing Summit in Tokyo among 35 speakers participating from different countries like the USA, UK, Japan, Germany, France, Mexico…
