About
Ruben Dingemans
Ruben Dingemans is an energetic and versatile chairperson, moderator, presenter, inspirer, and interviewer with a broad background both in front of and behind the scenes.
He started his media career as a presenter for various programs for, among others, RTL4, NTR, and Net5. His drive for substantive involvement led him behind the scenes as an editor, reporter, and item director for programs such as Stand Up Against Cancer, The Best Singer-Songwriter, and I Am Becoming a Mother.
This variety of work experience has made it clear that Ruben has a special talent for interpersonal connections across all layers of society; whether it concerns an individual or a group. He provides a dose of energy when needed, instinctively senses whether a person or audience is willing to discuss a sensitive topic, and allows emotion to take space when it is functional. Is an event going differently than planned? No problem; Ruben can improvise like no other and takes care of things on the spot.
He specializes in the themes of sustainability, healthcare, education & diversity. Hospitality and service are central to Ruben.
He always thinks along with the assignment. What does an event need? What are the bottlenecks or uncertainties? Or better yet; what are the wishes? Having trouble formulating those wishes? No problem. In a personal conversation, targeted questions quickly clarify where there is still room for improvement.
1. Creative Jack-of-all-trades
Although Ruben has an economic background, the combination with his creative mind has led to beautiful co-creations. He can also express his creativity in his work as an actor, voice-over artist, and voice actor. Thus, he is not only heard in various Netflix series and other streaming services, but you can also find him in multimedia productions.
As the Indian Martijn Krabbé in the VR application of The Voice, as a cheating colleague in the VR application in an e-learning for a large banking chain, or as an employee in an e-learning for a large international consultancy firm about undesirable behaviour in the workplace.
2. Education
He is regularly seen in educational productions for adults with the aim of informing the viewer, offering information in an accessible way for people with a non-Dutch background, or specialist productions for people with disabilities.
Additionally, he appears as a presenter in programmes for SchoolTV, but also as a digital English teacher for primary education in the online lesson package Take it Easy by Thieme-Meulenhoff and as a sexuality presenter for the apps of Mediajungle, aimed at people with intellectual disabilities, but certainly also suitable for children.
3. Sustainability
As an active ambassador and video content creator for the Plastic Soup Foundation, Ruben is committed to informing about how we can live a more plastic-free life with simple steps. He produced the video introducing the world’s first Plastic Health Summit, informed viewers of Koffietijd about the hidden plastics in our lives, and tries to inform viewers about the hidden dangers of plastic in our daily lives through short videos with a wink.
For the Wood and Furniture College (HMC), he moderates the five-year knowledge event: Furniture Industry in Transition, the road to a more sustainable wood and furniture industry. For GreenPan, he informed about the dangers of PFAS in pans, and for Plastic Recycle Factory Amsterdam, he shows organisations how plastic can be recycled better, purer, and more efficiently.
4. Healthcare
Ruben knows how to make complex material accessible. Whether it’s about the cardiopulmonary test, the influence of our environment on air quality, or how to deal with tinnitus; he delivers the information with care, warmth, and understanding.
Ruben has a warm heart for the healthcare sector; for the people who dedicate themselves day in and day out to the well-being of others. For the people who make a difference.
