Peter Joosten MSc. makes artificial intelligence in healthcare understandable and applicable. His practical lectures demonstrate, through concrete examples, how AI applications are transforming healthcare and how healthcare professionals can effectively engage with them.
Peter Joosten MSc. specializes in AI implementation in healthcare. With a background in Business Administration, Innovation Sciences, and Future Studies, he understands both the technological possibilities and the practical issues surrounding artificial intelligence in healthcare.
He speaks from experience with various healthcare organizations: from university medical centers such as UMC Utrecht, Erasmus MC, and Radboudumc to nursing and care homes, from mental health institutions to home care organizations. Peter is familiar with the challenges of different specialties – from radiology and pathology to geriatrics and psychiatry – and knows exactly where the opportunities and pitfalls lie.
As a keynote speaker, Peter has presented at leading healthcare institutions and organizations, including Erasmus Medical Center, Diakonessenhuis, Dutch Healthcare Authority, VWS, and various regional healthcare networks. His strength lies in translating complex AI developments into concrete tools for healthcare professionals, executives, and policymakers.
Peter developed the 5V model, a practical approach for the successful implementation of AI in healthcare organizations. He combines scientific knowledge with hands-on experience: from analyzing AI tools for diagnostics to guiding healthcare institutions in AI implementation.
He authored the books ‘Biohacking’ (2018) and ‘Superhuman’ (2020), hosts the podcast Future Images, and is a guest lecturer at TU Eindhoven, Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, and Fontys University of Applied Sciences. As an expert, he regularly appears in media such as RTL5, BNNVARA, BNR Nieuwsradio, and de Volkskrant.
