Communication that resonates. Connection that forms. Change that people want to support. That's what Patrick stands for. Patrick van Gils moves audiences with energy, interaction, and immediately applicable insights.
Our consultants would be happy to advise you on how best to tailor the narrative to your specific target audience.
You are not organising a meeting to work through the programme. You want to set something in motion. People who are awake. Ideas that land. Leaders who can engage people. Professionals who understand each other better and know how to convey their stories more powerfully.
That’s what Patrick van Gils has made his profession: communication that touches, connects and moves people.
Patrick is a keynote speaker and communication expert at the intersection of leadership, collaboration, and change. His conviction is simple: change doesn’t start with a new PowerPoint, but with people who understand why something matters, who trust each other and are willing to move with it.
> Clear communication creates direction. Genuine connection wins people over.
### From boardroom to conference hall
Patrick worked for over twenty years in senior marketing and communication positions at strong organisations and top brands like McDonald’s Netherlands, Makro, Studio 100, and Content & Schoevers. As a spokesperson, he learned what happens when communication comes under pressure: it’s not only what you say that counts, but especially how you say it and whether people understand and trust you.
He also saw something else: brilliant professionals who underestimate themselves. Strong ideas that don’t land. Teams talking past each other. Leaders with a good story that isn’t sufficiently felt or followed. This led to his mission for his second career: to help professionals and leaders use their communication to engage more people.
### Not a keynote to sit back and relax
Patrick combines energy, humour, and content with practical insights that people can immediately apply. His audience doesn’t sit passively. Patrick works with relatable dilemmas, short exercises, pitches, interactions with the room, storytelling, reflection, and concrete assignments.
This creates an interactive experience where participants already notice during the event what better communication, real connection, and personal leadership can mean.
Not theory to maybe apply later. Rather, insights and behaviour that immediately start moving.
His keynotes cover: the Perfect Pitch, Speaking with Impact, Storytelling, Power of Pride, and Ambassadorship. Different angles, always from the same question: What do you want to set in motion in your audience? Patrick is not a speaker who simply comes to tell a subject. He helps organisations truly get people moving.
### From 10 to 10,000 participants
Patrick has given more than 200 keynotes and presentations, from boardroom to conference hall and from 10 to 10,000 participants.
During twelve large-scale events of Google Netherlands and Qredits, he inspired more than 10,000 professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs. His keynotes during this series were the highest rated each time. One of his keynotes was attended entirely by Queen Máxima. In addition, Patrick received the international President’s Award at McDonald’s for his contribution to reputation, positioning, and innovation in the Netherlands. All internal and external target groups were engaged step by step in dialogue here.
### For organisations that want to get people moving
Patrick speaks for organisations that want to invest in stronger leadership, better collaboration, more ownership, customer focus, and change that is not only announced but also understood, supported, and advocated.
His interactive sessions are particularly suitable for: conferences, management meetings, leadership programmes, team days, change processes, sales and kick-off events, and customer or staff meetings. His goal is simple: that people not only think differently after participation but, above all, do differently.
Say what you mean in 1 word, 1 sentence, or 1 minute.
An energetic keynote that wakes up the room. Professionals learn to convey their work briefly, humanly, and meaningfully. No sales pitches, but sharpness, pride, and immediate applicability. Participants get moving, practice, and immediately experience what works.
Why right now?
Those who don’t communicate clearly today lose influence. In a world full of stimuli and speed, only clear stories are heard. Those who don’t refine their contribution remain invisible.
What makes this different?
Patrick combines humour, pace, and practical applicability. His proven six-step approach is practical, safe, and challenging. The audience experiences immediate results: communicate sharper, more concisely, and more convincingly.
What does it deliver?
Energy during the event, high ratings, and concrete results afterwards: stronger proposals, shorter meetings, and pitches that stick.
Ideal for
Staff days, change projects, customer days, and gatherings where visibility and connection between participants are central. Also very suitable for business associations, industry associations, companies, and professional associations.
During this session, participants get to know many other participants in a short time and build genuine connections among themselves.
And now?

Why now?

What does it offer?
More control. Faster decision-making. Less noise. More impact.

Pride as a Driver for Performance

Why now?
Change fatigue, work pressure, and staff shortages demand new energy. Pride encourages ownership and initiative without the need for an extra budget.
What makes this different?
Not superficial inspiration, but recognisable insights and concrete tools. The audience reflects, participates, and gets moving.
What does it deliver?
More engagement. More initiative. Better collaboration. And an organisational culture that becomes noticeably stronger.

Every employee is an ambassador
An interactive keynote that shows that reputation is not only determined by campaigns, but above all by behaviour. Employees discover how they can make a difference in their own way.
Why now?
What employees say and do daily shapes how the organisation is perceived. In a transparent world, internal behaviour partly determines the external image.
What makes this different?
No scripts or marketing language, but a personal, concrete, and immediately applicable approach. Participants translate pride into visible behaviour.
What does it deliver?
More ownership, a stronger customer experience, and a reputation that grows from within.
Ideal for
Organisations that want to connect their company culture and external image.
The next step
Do you want to strengthen ambassadorship among employees? Schedule a meeting.
What’s your story?
From experience to impact
A keynote that makes storytelling concrete and brings it back to the core: influence. Stories that provide direction, reduce resistance, and speed up decision-making.
Why now?
In an overcrowded stream of information, it’s not the one with the most data who wins, but the one with a story that resonates and sticks.
What makes this different?
No Hollywood formulas, but practical models that are directly applicable. With interaction, humour, and a direct translation to practice.
What does it deliver?
More persuasive power, more connection, and stories that move people to action.
Ideal for
Conferences and leadership days where the message needs to stick.
