Doctor of Pharmacy, holder of a DEA in Toxicology and a Master’s in Biological and Medical Sciences, Patrick Lozès also holds a postgraduate diploma from the Paris Graduate School of Business (ESCP)

Engaged in politics for many years, he joined the UDF in 1988. During the 2002 legislative elections, he was the candidate for this party in the 1st constituency of Paris.

In 2003, he founded the Action Circle for Diversity (CAPDIV), which advocates against discrimination affecting all minorities.

In 2005, he founded the Representative Council of Black Associations of France (CRAN), of which he was elected president (reelected in 2008 and 2010). This federation of French associations aims to establish a quantified assessment of discrimination in France and to “restore real and not theoretical equality” among French citizens.

In October 2007, Patrick Lozès was entrusted by the Minister of Ecology, Jean-Louis Borloo, with a mission on the ecological development of Martinique, focusing in particular on pollution in this overseas department. He resigned in November, denouncing pressures to refrain from addressing chlordane, a carcinogenic pesticide used notably in banana plantations.

In 2008, Patrick Lozès was appointed to lead the Chamber of Commerce of the African Diaspora in France, a partner of a chamber of commerce (the NBCC: National Black Chamber of Commerce), a member of the United States Chamber of Commerce. In 2009, he was elected to the board of directors of the NBCC, which he has represented in France since 2008.

In January 2009, he became a member of the Scientific and Evaluation Council of the Foundation for Political Innovation.

In November 2009, Patrick Lozès was entrusted with leading a mission to combat racism and communitarianism by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bernard Kouchner, and the Minister of the Interior, Territorial Collectivities, and Overseas, Brice Hortefeux.

In 2011, Patrick Lozès created the politically oriented association Allez la France, of which he was elected president. He announced his candidacy for the 2012 presidential election. He obtained 419 signatures out of the 500 required to be an official candidate.
