Olivier Sidler has been working since the 1980s in the field of energy measurement for very low consumption buildings and passive housing. He has published several reports on low consumption renovation.
He currently leads the ENERTECH consulting firm based in Félines sur Rimandoule, specializing in energy management and the use of renewable energies.
Olivier Sidler was one of the founders of the négaWatt association and served as one of its advisors for the Grenelle de l’environnement.
He is considered an expert in energy management and regularly conducts conferences and training sessions on the challenges of climate change and the necessary adaptation to climate disruptions through the design and renovation of buildings, as well as managing electricity demand.
Olivier Sidler has designed pre-calculated technical solutions to bring all French buildings – with the notable exception of towers – to a very low consumption threshold, primarily relying on dynamic thermal simulation of the building: thermal resistance of roofs, attics, walls, floors, and joinery (triple glazing). He also works on the aeraulics of buildings (air tightness, double flow ventilation) and heating equipment (boilers, etc.).
