Michel Godet, born in 1948, is a Professor at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (holder of the Chair of Strategic Foresight) and an elected member of the Academy of Technologies. He is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Institut Montaigne, creator of the Circle of Entrepreneurs of the Future which organizes the Grand Prix of Impertinence and Good News every year. Michel Godet has published around twenty works, some of which have been translated into several languages. In January 2014, he published “Libérez l’emploi pour sauver les retraites” with Editions Odile Jacob. His book “Bonnes nouvelles des Conspirateurs du futur” was released in March 2011 by Odile Jacob and earned him, in December 2011, the Edouard Bonnefous Prize from the Institute, recognizing his entire body of work and his unwavering optimism. This book was reissued in paperback in March 2012. In the same year 2012, he also published “La France des bonnes nouvelles” (Editions Odile Jacob) with a preface by Michel Rocard. In 2011, he published, with Philippe Durance at Dunod in the Sup management collection, an introduction to “Strategic Foresight for Businesses and Territories.” This work is available online in seven languages and is distributed in bilingual editions with UNESCO. He has also published: “Le Courage du bon sens pour construire l’avenir autrement,” with Odile Jacob. 3rd revised and expanded edition 2009. He also published in 2007 at Dunod the third edition of the “Manual of Strategic Foresight” in two volumes: “An Intellectual Indiscipline” and “The Art and the Method.” An adapted version for the Anglo-Saxon world: “Creating Futures: Scenario-planning as a strategic management tool” was published by Economica-Brookings, second edition 2006, made available online in January 2009. “Le choc de 2006” published by Odile Jacob received the 2003 Prize for Economic Literature.
