Her influence extends to strengthening international connections, guiding governance structures, as well as promoting diversity both domestically and internationally, in and out of the boardrooms. In addition to her executive roles, Marguerite is a sought-after speaker, moderator, and chairperson. Her presentation style is characterized by substantive depth, connective leadership, and the art of conveying complex themes clearly and inspiringly. She frequently speaks as a keynote speaker on leadership, risk management, crisis management, international business, geopolitics, inclusive organization, culture, and behavior in a continuously changing world. After studying law at Erasmus University Rotterdam, she worked for 34 years in various roles at Aon until 2024, most recently as Chairman of the Executive Board of Aon Holdings. She is currently an advisor to various companies, a member of the Supervisory Board at Siemens Netherlands, and a fiduciary asset manager at MN, as well as the chair of the Social Advisory Council of Erasmus University Rotterdam. Previously, she served as a commissioner, supervisor/advisor at NautaDutilh, Kelp Blue, Royal Defense Museums Foundation, Harvard Business School (USA), Gelre Hospitals, and Madurodam. She is also part of various juries, including the Aletta Jacobs Prize.
Since 2019, Marguerite has been involved with SER Top Women, serving as a board member from 2019-2021 and as chair of the Advisory Council from 2021 until September 2025. Additionally, Marguerite represents the private sector of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the G20 Empower alliance (since 2021).

In July 2022, she was awarded an honorary doctorate (Doctor of Philosophy) by Rai University India. Since April 26, 2024, she has been an Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
