Specialist Subjects

1. The 4 pillars of a positive work culture

Fresh fruit, smoothies, and a gym pass do not lead to more work enjoyment or a healthier work environment. A safe and positive work culture does. How do you build that? In this interactive lecture, Maartje links science to practice. You will leave with practical tips. Because insight is nice, but action is better.

2. Stress and work happiness two sides of the same coin

We often see stress as something negative, but it doesn’t have to be. If you handle it well, it can become a powerful motivator to achieve your goals. In this interactive lecture, you will discover how to increase your resilience and work enjoyment.

3. Power of purpose and storytelling

Knowing what you contribute and for whom is important for our work enjoyment. And a clear purpose makes your organisation distinctive and ensures that you attract the right people. How you make this practical for yourself, your team, and the organisation is what you will discover in this interactive talk.

4. Growth mindset and behavioural change

Do you think your talents are innate and fixed from birth, or do you think you can learn anything you want? How you think about things, your mindset, says a lot about your development possibilities. Now, it’s not that you should always have a growth mindset about everything, but it does help with learning, changing, and developing. And if you want to change, how long do your good intentions last? Research shows that only 8% of the behaviour we try to change sticks. In this interactive lecture, we will work on mindset and behaviour.

5. Take ownership and get people moving

In 2018, Maartje and Fennande declared the last week of September as the week of Work Happiness. The goal was to connect people and organisations worldwide to the theme and start a movement. In this way, making work happiness and a positive work culture discussable. By now, various organisations in more than 50 countries are participating. Maartje is happy to take you through how to successfully create a movement and how you can let people take ownership for results.

6. Positive leadership!

The subject of leadership always enjoys much attention, and the styles and trends keep piling up. But what does that actually yield? Research shows that it adds nothing. It is much more effective to focus on behaviour. What can you do as a leader to build a positive work culture in your team? Maartje is happy to take you through it.

7. The biological side of work happiness

Did you know that working on your work happiness also has a biological side? The four pillars of a positive work culture can be directly linked to important happiness hormones. Do you want to know how that works? In this interactive lecture, Maartje will tell you all about it.
