Jörgen Raymann is a well-known radio/TV host and presented Raymann is Laat for many years. He now works as Chief Inspiration Officer at Lenard and Lenard, assisting entrepreneurs and companies on urgent topics such as workplace happiness, inclusion & diversity, leadership, and related elements like finding the right people, collaboration, dealing with setbacks, mindset, and employee self-development. As a keynote speaker, he knows how to inspire, motivate, and enthuse many people – his humor and self-deprecation are central to this.
Jörgen Raymann believes in the power of people. Good and wise ‘self-leadership’ helps individuals discover what they are good at, what they enjoy, what makes them happy, and what resonates with them. Jörgen Raymann knows how to get people moving and encourages them to be open to each other, to learn from one another, and to value each other.
“Inspiration is the source of success. The right mindset, continuously developing yourself and your employees, working with passion and joy, leveraging each other’s strengths while respecting everyone’s value. Being resilient so that when a crisis hits you, you can bounce back and change course. I love to inspire and advise people. With my own experiences and humor, I make it personal and accessible.”
Jörgen can be booked as a keynote speaker, motivational/inspirational speaker, moderator, interviewer, and discussion leader. His themes include: multiplicity (diversity & inclusion), (personal) leadership, workplace happiness.
As a child, he was always fascinated by the phenomenon of television. His very first holiday job at the age of 13 was at STVS (the national broadcaster of Suriname). At 17, he presented his first TV quiz in Suriname. After the cabaret evenings in his restaurant in Suriname proved to be a success, he was asked to create a New Year’s program for Surinamese television. He also produced ‘Examen TV’, a program for final exam students of the VWO, and ‘Raymann praat laat’.
In 1998, he brought his theater show to the Netherlands. During this tour, he was approached by NPS (now NTR) to audition for a new television program to be produced by Men at Work TV Productions (of which he later also became a co-owner). After an audition and a test recording, he became the presenter of ‘The Comedy Factory’.
When he moved to the Netherlands in 2001, he received the offer to create a late-night program for NTR. This became ‘Raymann is Laat!’, which grew into one of the most popular and longest-running late-night shows in the Netherlands.
In 2008, he met Stedman Graham. He inspired Jörgen to become a ‘Motivator’. Together with his coach Ron and his daughter Dionne Abdoelhafizkhan, he developed the Hi5: your hand as a compass for success. With these tools, they connected 3500 young people with companies in the form of internships and jobs. The Hi5 movement was recognized by the Martin Luther King Foundation in Atlanta, and as the only organization outside of America, they were granted the right to annually present the MLK Award. After 5 years, they decided to stop this unsubsidized, socially responsible organization, and Dionne made a restart with IZI Solutions, a consultancy that bridges the gap between youth, education, and companies.
Since then, Jörgen has been providing tailored motivational speeches for organizations, government, and youth. The focus is always on the individual – for Jörgen, it’s about the power of people. Good and wise ‘self-leadership’ is the key to success. Drawing from his own experience, Jörgen provides his audience with tools on self-leadership, how to take the reins in their own hands to find their P.H.D. (Passion, Happiness, and Drive).
Since 2020, he has been actively involved with Lenard & Lenard as Chief Inspirational Officer. Initially, Jörgen focused on helping companies with the self-development of their employees and assisting entrepreneurs with mindset sessions to develop resilience. Since he has lived his whole life with experience in and with different cultures and is committed to minorities, he is currently mainly focused on multiplicity, a different perspective on inclusion & diversity. The starting point is the strength of the whole (multiplicity), where he encourages everyone to look not at the differences but at the similarities, not to forget the economic aspect, and not to blame one group. (Personal) leadership and workplace happiness are themes he also enjoys discussing, as they are necessary or closely related to multiplicity. Ultimately, it’s about getting the most out of yourself and your organization.
Lenard and Lenard’s mission is to globally enhance people’s knowledge on various urgent themes in a fun way, enabling them to achieve their ambitions and goals. Jörgen joined Lenard and Lenard after initially being supported by them to navigate his own storm and set a new course.
