About Jeroen van der Most
How do you survive the future? Artist Jeroen van der Most shows you with a series of new artworks. He began creating art with AI in 2010. Back then, it was still a niche. Nowadays, the technology is accessible to everyone. With the push of a button, you can create artworks that once took a team a year to produce.
Like many of us, the artist began to wonder:
- How do you remain relevant with all this rapidly advancing technology?
- How can we use the upcoming AI, which will be capable of much more than just creating text or images, in a positive way?
- Is there still a role for me as a human?
In his talks, Jeroen answers those questions for you. It’s not a theoretical story; he shows you concretely with his artworks. You will learn:
- The mindset of the artist. He introduces you to an ‘unlimited’ way of thinking that is crucial for remaining innovative and creative.
- Which technologies will be relevant in the coming years. Think of new AI, but also quantum computing. And how we can use them positively.
- And the most important lesson: what essential role we as humans will continue to have in the future.
He draws from a wealth of inspiring personal stories, including an absolutely magical one where one of his artworks was forged and sold for 3.2 million in the Middle East. His approach to this is a blueprint for surviving in the future – the ‘post-AI’ era.
The stories stem from his experience since 2010, during which he has consistently managed to attract the attention of international media with artworks that provide a glimpse into the future. For instance, he previously created AI systems that could independently produce new Van Gogh paintings or Rembrandts. Or he had AI write texts on behalf of nature.
He works autonomously but also creates artworks for organizations such as TU Delft, Microsoft, and Amnesty International. His work is displayed in international museums, and he performs worldwide at events such as the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit, CES Las Vegas, ISE, or The Next Web. He also regularly conducts sessions for universities or client days for various companies, from large to small.
