Jean-Domnique Giuliani presides over the Robert Schuman Foundation, one of the very first Think Tanks dedicated to the study of European policies, recipient of several national and international awards for its activities. The Foundation is known and recognized for the quality of its work and the influence it derives from its proposals. He has served as Chief of Staff to the President of the Senate, Mr. René Monory (from 1992 to 1998), Director at Sofres (1998-2001), Special Advisor to the European Commission (2008-2010), and has held various electoral and public positions. He resigned from the French Council of State, where he was a Master of Requests. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ARTE France.

About Jean-Dominique Giuliani

He has served as Chief of Staff to the President of the Senate, Mr. René Monory (from 1992 to 1998), Director at Sofres (1998-2001), Special Advisor to the European Commission (2008-2010), and has held various electoral and public positions. He resigned from the French Council of State, where he was a Master of Requests. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ARTE France.

In 2002, he created his own international strategic consulting firm, which he currently leads.

A columnist for Ouest-France and a regular contributor to international and French media, he is one of the recognized specialists in European affairs, having published numerous works, including “A Very Urgent European” (Editions du Moment, 2008), “The Enlargement of Europe” (PUF “Que Sais-je?” 2004), “Fifteen+Ten”, the great enlargement (Albin Michel, 2003), “The Permanent Atlas of the European Union” (Lignes de repères, 2012), as well as many articles in various journals.

A regular speaker in French, English, and German, he is one of the best experts on the European Union and its member states.

Knight of the Legion of Honor and Officer of the National Order of Merit, he holds several foreign decorations, including the Grand Cross (Commander) of the German Federal Merit.
