Gyzlene Kramer-Zeroual is an education strategist with extensive experience at the executive strategic level. She has an impressive track record as an impact maker for and with young people and has demonstrated that complex changes are possible by creating movements among large groups of people. Making an impact is her strength, and she knows how to do this by putting others at the center. In the field of education, she has launched several innovative programs and educational concepts. Gyzlene has a remarkable life story, born in Morocco, moving to Rotterdam South at the age of 9, starting with a significant disadvantage, and now a leading lady at the top of education.
Currently, Gyzlene is the Program Director of Strategy and Equal Opportunities at a major institution in our country and is seen as a significant social and educational innovator. Under her leadership, several successful programs have been launched that have contributed to more equal opportunities and a different perspective on organization and innovation.
She originally comes from a change management background, and she effectively utilizes her expertise in change management to lead reforms in education. She supports all of this by leading a knowledge and research institute, where research on study success, equal opportunities, and diversity and inclusion is central. Her focus is now on participation within large organizations and creating movements around groundbreaking and disruptive themes.
In doing so, she empowers leaders and assists in shaping vision and strategy around strategic themes such as social innovation, sustainability, and inclusion. Additionally, Gyzlene is a member and board member of several organizations in the country; for example, she is a board member of VNO NCW Rotterdam, where she chairs the NEW Economy committee. She has held various supervisory board positions in the non-profit sector for over 5 years, such as in schools and museums, and she is a member of the Council for Art and Culture in Rotterdam.
