After holding various positions within the Rhône-Poulenc Group, first as an engineer (X, MIT), then after an MBA at INSEAD as Director of operational entities or IT (including in Germany and as Chairman of the Board of a nuclear medicine company), Guy Le Péchon served from 1991 to December 1996 as Director of IT and Telecommunications Coordination for this same global group.
Since then, alongside consulting activities in Information Systems, he has taken a particular interest in corporate governance. He is one of the founding members of the Circle of INSEAD Alumni Directors, an active member of the French Institute of Directors. His experience is also concrete as he has supported and partnered with several start-ups and served as Vice-President of an NGO: Sailors Without Borders. He is currently also the President of an association supporting organizations that welcome people in difficulty, particularly children.
Today, he is a partner/manager of the firm Governance and Structures, specializing in improving corporate governance, and is now known for his statistical studies regarding the presence of women on the Boards of Directors and Supervisory Boards of listed French companies, in the context of the law imposing quotas for female directors on these boards.
