Dipl. Ing. (FH) Fabian Sixtus Körner, born in 1981 in Cologne and raised in the Hessian Taunus, is a designer, photographer, filmmaker, author – a multidisciplinary creative enthusiast who does not like to stay within one profession.
After attending the technical college for textile technology and clothing, he studied interior architecture at the Hochschule RheinMain for five years, while simultaneously furthering his education in communication design and photography. Through his travels, he also discovered the medium of film. In 2012, he was awarded the German Web Video Prize for his short film “The Bollywood Movie Star.”
He gained widespread recognition through his project “Stories of a Journeyman.” In this project, he traveled around the world for more than two years in the tradition of journeymen, offering his skills as a designer in exchange for food and lodging. The resulting book “Journeyman – 1 Man, 5 Continents and Plenty of Jobs” remained at the top of the Spiegel bestseller list for a long time.
Fabian Sixtus Körner has been giving inspiring lectures about his travel projects for several years, leaving his audience both excited and contemplative. He currently lives in Berlin, from where he coordinates his projects worldwide.
