At the end of 2024, Deckers published the bestseller The Power of Aging about aging strongly, optimistically, and confidently. This book serves as the guide for a lecture on positive aging that Deckers has been successfully delivering throughout the Netherlands for over a year.
Put all the prejudices about aging aside: the era of anti-aging is over. We choose positive aging, and there are plenty of reasons for that: as the years go by, you gain more self-confidence, more freedom, and more inner strength. The fact is that many people over 40 experience more happiness, and this sense of happiness continues to increase with the years.
Best-selling author Daphne Deckers primarily sees the advantages of the so-called ‘third half’ and provides a positive counter-narrative with The Power of Aging. With humor and a sense of perspective, Daphne describes how to tackle physical and mental challenges and age gracefully.
