Cécilia Bognon
Nutrition Philosopher
A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure and certified in philosophy, Cécilia Bognon is currently completing a PhD in the philosophy of biology at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where she also teaches. Alongside her academic journey, Cécilia Bognon seeks other complementary paths to bring philosophy back into life. After her Master's degree in the philosophy of science, she joined the editorial team of Philosophie Magazine in 2010, with which she continues to collaborate: Tintin, Star Wars, René Girard, or synthetic biology, everything is a subject for philosophical inquiry. Attentive to the highly symbolic and structuring dimension of nutrition, this biology and good food enthusiast decided to undertake, at the end of 2010, a PhD in philosophy on digestion. She continues her research in response to the development of contemporary work on the gut microbiota and its role in defining biological individuality. In parallel to her activities at the University of Paris I Sorbonne, as well as in preparatory classes for Sciences Po, she joins the team of The School of Life Paris to lead the course "I am what I eat."
