Alexandre Delaigue is a professor of economics at the military special school of Saint-Cyr, and a lecturer on European issues for the preparation for the aggregation at the University of Rennes 1. He is the author, with Stephane Ménia, of two popular economics books: “sex, drugs and economics” (Pearson, 2008) and “our economic phobias” (Pearson, 2010).
He created, with Stephane Ménia, the blog Econoclaste in 1999, which has become one of the most consulted economics blogs in the French language.
Since October 2011, he has been writing a weekly economic column in the newspaper Libération, titled “economic questions”. He also regularly writes book reviews in the magazine “Enjeux les Echos”. He appears in various media (France Inter, France Culture, RMC, Emission Arrêt sur images, BFM Business, France24…) on current economic issues.
Additionally, he has been a speaker at the Friedland discussions, organized by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and with the Enterprise and Progress club. A former student of the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, he is an associate professor of economics, management, and finance.
