About Emmanuel Kessler

Emmanuel Kessler has been an economic journalist on LCI since January 2011. He joined the TF1 group within the economic and social division to take charge of the daily 8 PM show: ‘Le Quotidien de l’économie’ and ‘L’Invité de l’économie’. Additionally, he regularly produces economic segments on the continuous news channel. Emmanuel does not consider himself a specialist but aims to make often technical economic issues accessible to the general public. After studying philosophy at the École Normale Supérieure, he shifted towards political journalism. In 1994, he participated in the creation of the political service of BFM radio during the 1995 presidential election. Four years later, he became the editor-in-chief of the radio, where he approached news through an economic lens. He left the air in 2002. He subsequently joined the TNT channel Public Sénat, where he notably hosted the three debates of the Socialist primaries during the 2007 presidential election. Until December 2010, he held the position of deputy editor-in-chief of the channel. Emmanuel Kessler hosted the economic segment on France Info every morning from 2007 to 2010 and also produced weekly economic segments on France Culture.

A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, he is the author of several publications and has participated in more than twenty conferences, symposiums, and seminars since 2008.
