Passionate about the stock market, Yannick Roudaut begins a career as an economic and financial journalist while developing personal trading activities. After starting at the Journal des Finances, he participates in 1995 in the development of BFM radio and Bloomberg TV in France. A specialist in derivatives, Yannick publishes his first book in 1996, ‘Understanding Subscription Warrants,’ and writes articles for Capital, La revue Banque… In 1997, about 5 years after his graduation from EM Normandie (formerly Sup de Co Le Havre), he decides to change his life and leave Paris. Yannick resigns from his position at BFM and negotiates with Le Figaro for a flexible position shared between Paris and Nantes. Le Figaro entrusts him with part of the editorial work for the Saturday morning salmon pages and articles for Figaro Patrimoine. In 1998, at the age of 28, Yannick simultaneously creates his first company. The idea is simple: to produce and sell the first interactive CD-ROM to teach individuals how to invest in the stock market. A few months later, his CD-ROMs are sold in Fnac, Virgin, and Amazon. In the midst of the internet bubble, Yannick tries again and creates a new stock market website (icibourse.com), which ends up being a failure. He decides to shift towards stock market and economic training: he establishes ‘L’Institut Financier.’ Until 2005, Yannick continues to speculate and publish financial articles. He begins to question himself… the speculative frenzy gripping the stock market no longer suits him. He proposes to the newspaper Le Monde the first column dedicated to Responsible Finance (SRI and Solidarity Finance). In 2007, he abandons his trading activities and starts writing a book dedicated to the collapse of a financial and economic model: the Alter Enterprise. The book is published by Dunod in 2008 during the subprime crisis. He then begins awareness conferences across Europe on new economic and financial models. Yannick becomes an expert with APM (Association Progrès du Management) and GERME. He works with leaders to encourage them to rethink their vision of the economy. He is heard in 2011 by the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, for Prime Minister F. Fillon, on the competitiveness of France and sustainable economy. In 2010, he merges his activities and becomes co-director of Alternité, a firm specializing in the development of sustainable strategies in companies. Today, he supports companies in their transition towards a responsible model. A specialist in CSR and consumer behavior, the Alternité agency offers strategic support to make Sustainable Development the cornerstone of the company.
