Graduated from the prestigious Sorbonne University, Virginie Girod holds a PhD in History. For nearly ten years, she has been conducting research on the history of women and sexuality. Driven by a desire to share knowledge and reflect on contemporary society in the light of historical facts, she teaches ancient history at the Université populaire de Caen founded by Michel Onfray and participates, as an expert, in numerous programs such as Secrets d’Histoire on France 2 or La Fabrique de l’Histoire on France Culture. A prolific author, she has written several essays and biographies and regularly collaborates with magazines like Histoire et Civilisations. She gives numerous lectures in venues such as the Grand Palais. Passionate about theater, she has produced several award-winning shows, notably recognized by Paris Jeunes Talents.
