Vincent RENARD is an economist, Research Director at CNRS, specializing in land and real estate economics.
He is currently an advisor to the management of IDDRI, Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations, affiliated with Sciences Po Paris.
Founder and long-time coordinator with Joseph Comby of the Association of Land Studies (ADEF), which publishes the eponymous journal, he has developed comparative analyses of urban economics and land and real estate economics, first with the main European countries, and then conducted cooperation and consulting missions in a number of other countries, particularly in several Latin American countries, especially Colombia, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil, and then in the ‘transition’ countries, particularly Russia, Ukraine, and China. He undertakes missions for the OECD, the European Union, the World Bank, CEPAL, and various French and foreign governments and local authorities.
He currently teaches at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (Master’s in Urban Planning, Real Estate, and Sustainable Development) and at the National School of Bridges and Roads (Master’s in Urban Planning and Urban Project Management) and occasionally at several French and foreign schools and universities.
He belongs to seven editorial boards of journals in France, Great Britain, and Spain.
