Producers rarely appear on camera in television. Tita von Hardenberg is an exception. The Berliner became nationally known as the host of the magazine ‘Polylux’ – which she also produced herself with her company Kobalt for about ten years. From the beginning of her career, current events and the pursuit of trends have been at the center of her interest. She earned her first stripes in television by building the youth magazine Tip TV at the ORB channel, which later became ‘Polylux’. There, Tita von Hardenberg consistently pursued the path of bringing to light the unknown, the quirky, and the extraordinary. The show focused on topics around pop culture and life in the capital, often with a satirical undertone. The online portal Polylog.tv received the Grimme Online Award in 2007. Since 2011, she has been responsible for the ‘zdf.kulturpalast’, which is conceived by her company and now aired weekly, and she also proves her competence as a producer of well-regarded zeitgeist magazines such as ‘Tracks’, ‘Yourope’, and ‘Metropolis’ at Arte. There, she can also be seen occasionally as a moderator.
Tita von Hardenberg, mother of three children, is also actively socially engaged. Since 2010, she has been a patron of the Bethel Children’s Hospice, an institution that cares for dying children.
Phenomena of the zeitgeist that shape our modern life continue to be her topic. Currently, she is dealing with the phenomenon of “Shitstorm”. Where does the nameless anger on the internet lead? And what advice can be given to companies when a shitstorm arises? Tita von Hardenberg addresses these pressing questions, alongside her work as an author for a film on this topic for ARD, also during her speaking engagements, which are characterized by her charm, wit, and extensive journalistic experience.
