About Thierry Raes
Head of Sustainable Development at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Thierry Raes aims to accelerate the growth of SD activities at PwC. He joined PwC in 1979 (finance, information systems), and established the Sustainable Development department at PwC in 1993. Over the last 18 years, he has supported companies in enhancing their economic, environmental, and social performance, as well as the credibility of their communication.
Thierry assists companies in integrating SD / CSR into their strategy to create value, by increasing sales and the attractiveness of the company, reducing costs and risks, and revisiting the company’s business model. Thierry was also responsible for PwC’s communication from 2005 to 2009.
Thierry Raes has been a member of the Orée office for 9 years, treasurer of Comité 21 for 8 years, and is currently the vice-President of ORSE.
He recently published Sustainable Development: Strategic and Operational Aspects (Editions Francis Lefebvre, Oct. 2010).
