Tanja Braun worked at NOS for 30 years and she is an engaged and passionate journalist with a great interest in social issues. She easily makes contact, but she can also ask the uncomfortable questions. Always as open and unbiased as possible.
Everyone has a story, if you are curious enough to find it. Tanja Braun is an engaged and passionate journalist and now primarily a moderator with a great interest in social issues.
Braun attended the School of Journalism and has worked at NOS for the past 30 years, 20 of which as a general reporter. She started as an intern in the editorial team of the program NOS-Laat. When this program ceased to exist that same year, Braun was asked to stay at NOS to work as a desk editor for the NOS Journaal. Later, she became a domestic reporter for this segment.
She also worked at Nieuwsuur for a short time. Over the years, she has seen much of the world. From Valkenburg to Loppersum, from China to Curaçao. Mostly in search of that one story that has yet to be told. Tanja has interviewed victims of the childcare benefits scandal, but also ministers, doctors and patients, troubled youth, company directors, athletes, and refugees.
Through all these conversations with different kinds of people, Tanja easily makes contact, but she can also ask uncomfortable questions. Always as open and unbiased as possible.
Braun works 2 days a week at a VMBO. She is well on her way to becoming a social studies teacher as a lateral entrant.
