Sophie van Hoytema is a versatile, energetic performer. She is a presenter, cabaret artist, and singer. Over the past years, she has toured the country with her own theater productions, presented the RLT4 program Snowmagazine, released 2 CDs, and has also served as a moderator at a Microsoft conference on innovation in education, as well as creating cabaret for female leaders in healthcare.
The foundation for this versatility was laid by her diverse education. She first completed a degree in Technical Public Administration at the TU in Delft and then attended the Kleinkunstacademie in Amsterdam.
Sophie is regularly invited as a moderator for conferences and symposia, where she can optionally start or conclude the day musically with a custom song. Her specialties include ‘custom cabaret’ – acts in which she writes songs and sketches – and custom quick poems – a humorous summary of the day’s events in a sung poem, accompanied by a pianist. It can be about any desired topic – no matter how complex or specialized. In doing so, she brings a light-hearted (closing) note to conferences, symposia, and festive events.
