About Saskia Nijs
Saskia Nijs is one of the Netherlands’ most influential experts at the intersection of technology, humanity, and the future of work. She helps organizations understand how AI and automation are fundamentally changing work, and above all, how we can build a future in which people experience meaningful work with technology. With her practical experience and research, she focuses on the future of work, particularly in the area of organizations and employees and the role of technology.
Saskia Nijs has experience and knowledge in the field of technology in the workplace. She has been active in this area for many years at various prominent organizations such as Microsoft, Philips, Layar, and KLM, was a regular columnist for the FD for many years, and also conducts a great deal of research.
Saskia operates at C-level to define the future of work, implement innovative technologies such as AI and robots within organizations, and helps improve employee engagement and customer experience. She also speaks and publishes regularly on these topics. She teaches at Nyenrode Business University and is also a supervisory director at Ksyos and Abiant and a board member at Medialab Setup.

"Aat Vos was the keynote speaker for our EUROCITIES Culture Forum in Gent (October 2017). EUROCITIES is with her 140 members the largest European city network. The EUROCITIES Culture Forum meets twice a year and we askes Aat Vos to talk about his work on 'third places' in Ghent, with a focus on 'The role of culure in shaping third places in cities'. Based on his recent book '3RD4ALL - How to create a relevent public space', Aat built up a fascinating story, which was appreciated by all those present. Together with Aat we also chose a number of cases from the present cities. Aat commented those during the session, which led to an interesting discussion and interaction with the approximately 120 attendees. I personally prepared this Culture Forum with Aat and he's a very pleasant sparring partner. He was open voor consulation and handled this inquiry very professional. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Aat Vos."
