Looking for an enthusiastic speaker or moderator? Knowledgeable, experienced, and humorous? Someone with a fresh perspective? Rob listens, inspires, and puts things into perspective. He asks the right questions. Smooth and energetic. A good mix of content, enthusiasm, and humor. This is how he ...
Rob Koops was born in Enschede and raised in Zwolle. He studied Public Administration at the University of Twente, specializing in Applied Communication Science.
On behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture & Science, he wrote his thesis in The Hague about the role of public broadcasting in democracy. After his studies, he worked at the Media Academy in Hilversum, where he became familiar with interviewing and filmmaking.
In collaboration with McKinsey & Company, he organized the business plan competition New Venture. He then became a management trainer and process facilitator at De Baak (Management Center VNO-NCW). For the past twelve years, he has been working as an independent entrepreneur, active as a moderator and filmmaker. Rob lives in Utrecht, is married, and has two daughters. According to his daughters, he is the best moderator in the country.
So, are you looking for an enthusiastic moderator? Knowledgeable, experienced, and humorous? Someone with a fresh perspective? Rob listens, inspires, and puts things into perspective. He asks the right questions. Smooth and energetic. A good mix of content, enthusiasm, and humor. This is how he creates connection in the room.
As a public administrator, Rob is naturally curious. From inclusive education, project management, Eigen Kracht, citizen participation, job satisfaction to healthy nutrition. He enjoys delving into a wide range of topics.
As a moderator, Rob has successfully led hundreds of meetings. With the key question: what will the resident, client, or consumer notice from this meeting? Rob prefers to sit down with you first. To get acquainted, listen, and ask further questions. What is the goal of the meeting? Who do you invite? How do you ensure documentation and follow-up? Which formats best align with this? And when will you be satisfied?
His experience as a trainer and process facilitator at De Baak is beneficial here. Every meeting requires a different approach, with sufficient variation. Customization, therefore.
During the pandemic, Rob presented various online talk shows, something he still regularly does for, among others, the Municipality of Nieuwegein.
Rob Koops is the author of the book WRKPLZR 101 Tips to get even more out of your work. Additionally, he has published several children’s books with HarperCollins.
