Rahma el Mouden is the director of MAS, one of the largest medium-sized cleaning companies in the Netherlands. As a young woman, she came from Morocco to the Netherlands and worked her way up to become a successful entrepreneur, being named Black Businesswoman of the Year in 1999.

Rahma is a sought-after speaker on Radio 1, where she discusses themes related to diversity, economic independence, and women’s rights. Rahma el Mouden is an tireless bridge builder.

In May 2019, her biography “Rahma, My Path to Freedom” will be published. In it, she shares her life story. As the daughter of an imam in Tangier, she came to the Netherlands, a place unknown to her. From a young age, Rahma knew she had to leave Morocco; it was clearly visible that women in Morocco had no freedom, which was evident to her as a child. Rahma decided immediately after her arrival in the Netherlands to participate in society. She wanted to succeed in her life in freedom.

In her book ‘The Path to My Freedom’, she recounts how her successful business MAS came to be. From cleaner to businesswoman. Her freedom was central to this.
