Professor dr. Mijntje Lückerath-Rovers is a professor of Corporate Governance at Tilburg University, TIAS School for Business and Society, and is an experienced supervisory board member. She studied Financial Economics at Erasmus University and worked at Rabobank International from 1994 to 2001. She obtained her PhD from Erasmus in 2007, and since then, her research has focused on the conditions of Good Corporate Governance, particularly on boardroom dynamics rather than laws and regulations.
She annually publishes the Yearbook Corporate Governance, the National Supervisory Board Survey, and the Dutch Female Board Index. She serves as a supervisory board member at Erasmus MC, NRC Media, Pels Rijcken, and Diergaarde Blijdorp, among others. In the past, she also held this position at Achmea and the ASN Investment Funds.
Due to the importance of behavior and culture within Corporate Governance, she started a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2019 and graduated with a Master’s in Work and Organizational Psychology in 2022, with a study on moral judgment by supervisory board members. This led to the more practical book “Moral Dilemmas in the Boardroom,” which received numerous newspaper articles and rave reviews.
