Prof. Dr. Markus Gabriel
Germany's New Philosophy Star
Markus Gabriel is a German philosopher. He teaches epistemology, philosophy of modernity, and contemporary philosophy at the University of Bonn and is the youngest philosophy professor in Germany. Gabriel studied philosophy, classical philology, modern German literary studies, and German studies in Hagen, Bonn, and Heidelberg. He earned his doctorate in 2005 on the late philosophy of Schelling. Subsequently, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Lisbon and from 2006 to 2008, he served as a temporary academic advisor in Heidelberg.
