Mark Tuitert became the Olympic champion in the 1,500-meter race—the premier distance in speed skating—in 2010. That title came after missing two Olympic Games, a bout of overtraining, and years of trial and error. It was precisely that journey—anything but straightforward—that taught him more about performance, mindset, and collaboration than any formal education ever could.
After fifteen years at the top of the world, Mark shifted his focus to entrepreneurship, writing, and public speaking. He is the author of ‘Drive’, among other books, and connects the lessons from elite sports with Stoic philosophy and real life. For more than fifteen years, he has been sharing these insights with employees, clients, and leadership teams in the Netherlands and around the world.
