Holder of a DEA (Currency, Finance, Banking) from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, Marc Touati began his professional career as a teacher-researcher in 1994 at the same university.
In 1995, he joined the Economic Studies of the Banques Populaires group, where he took the lead in 1997. From 1997 to 2007, he was also the director of economic and financial research at the Natixis group. From 2000 to 2007, he was a member of the technical group of the Commission of Economic Accounts and Budgets.
In 2007, Marc Touati founded ACDEFI (Aux Commandes De l’Economie et de la Finance), the first independent economic and financial consulting and training firm serving businesses and professionals, which he has led since then. From 2008 to 2012, Marc Touati was also the General Director of Global Equities (which merged with Assya Capital in 2010 to form Assya Compagnie Financière). Marc Touati is a lecturer at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and teaches at the Institut de Haute Finance, as well as at several universities and Grandes Ecoles. In addition to his regular interventions on the trading floor, he often travels to Paris, throughout France, and abroad to deliver economic presentations to clients and colleagues of French and international companies and financial institutions.
Over the past fifteen years, Marc Touati has been the editor-in-chief of numerous publications. He writes several columns in different newspapers and magazines. He frequently appears in the media to provide his analysis. Marc Touati’s reputation is based on the relevance of his analyses and projections, as well as the educational nature of his oral presentations.
