About Marc Roche

Marc Roche is the correspondent for the daily Le Monde in the United Kingdom, where he has been based since 1985.

Between 1979 and 1981, he worked at the Reuters agency in London, from 1981 to 1983 at Soir in Brussels in charge of European institutions, and then at Quotidien de Paris as a correspondent in Washington. Upon returning to London, he covered British affairs for the weekly Le Point and Soir until 1997.

He also publishes in British newspapers such as The Independent and The Guardian, and participates in the Dateline London program on BBC News.

Marc Roche holds a degree in economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, in international politics from Johns Hopkins University, and from the Columbia School of Journalism.

He has published numerous works primarily focused on economics, finance, and its institutions, but also on the British monarchy, of which he has become a specialist during his many years spent in London.
