Manuel Diaz, born in 1978 in Limoges, is the president of the digital communication agency Emakina.FR.

In 1997, with the help of his brother Carlos, Manuel Diaz, then 18 years old, founded groupeReflect in Limoges, an agency specialized in website creation. The duo developed an Internet service dedicated to public and private actors in the Limousin region. Quickly, groupeReflect grew, withstood the burst of the Internet bubble in 2000, and eventually positioned itself among the best French agencies. Thanks to a strong positioning around web 2.0, the young company quickly established itself as a leader in the participatory web market in France and in the European market. The agency’s performance was notably recognized by Deloitte Technology, which placed groupeReflect in the Technology FAST 50 France and Technology FAST 500 World rankings, rewarding the most successful companies in the sector.

The agency evolved and in 2007 came closer to the Belgian communication group Emakina, already present in various European countries. Manuel Diaz then became president of the group in France. Emakina is publicly traded and ranks among the top 3 independent communication groups in Europe, with 500 employees.

In December 2011, Manuel Diaz, close to the luxury industry, opened the LeWeb11 conference alongside designer Karl Lagerfeld, whom he advises on the digital communication of his eponymous brand, and Loic le Meur.

Le Figaro dedicated a portrait to him, presenting him as “the Séguéla of digital,” and the magazine l’Optimum included him in the 50 personalities who will change France.

In January 2012, Emakina.FR was chosen to create the new website for the UMP and prepare the 2012 electoral campaign. Manuel Diaz will be in charge of the digital strategy for candidate Nicolas Sarkozy during the 2012 Presidential election.
