Maartje Paumen has won everything there is to win in her career as a hockey player. Both as an international with the successful orange team and at her club in Den Bosch. The all-time top scorer has amassed titles one after another. From the outside, it seems that everything comes easily, that it’s effortless. But elite sports are never easy. Maartje has achieved her successes through hard work and, above all, a lot of falling and getting back up. Always wanting to improve, walking on your toes, having tough confrontations with yourself and others, and consistently pushing boundaries. That is what elite sports mean to Maartje. Never assuming that it will come naturally, that you are done. Dealing with all the uncertainties that come your way. And that is only possible if you TRULY want it. And if anyone truly wanted it, it was Maartje.
In the last years of her career, she worked intensively with Marco Hoogerland, performance coach and founder of the Talents Academy. Marco knows better than anyone that dreams are achievable. For over 20 years, he has been carving his own path in the unpredictable world of elite sports. He effectively translates this knowledge and experience into the business world.
