Lucien Boyer began his career at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in 1987 before becoming Director of Sponsoring for the Larousse-Lola-Lamborghini Formula 1 racing team for three years. This experience helped him found LMG (Lifestyle Marketing Group) in Paris in 1991, later acquired by Havas in 1998 to launch its sport division, which was renamed Havas Sports and quickly became the leader in sports marketing in France. He oversaw the global expansion of the agency which led to the creation of Havas Sports & Entertainment in 2008, at which point he was appointed Global President and CEO and is now responsible for the global growth of the network, overseeing all current business, driving commercial activity and expansion to new markets.
Beyond his management role, Lucien Boyer is recognized as one of today’s leading experts in sports and entertainment marketing. He also founded and acts as the General Commissioner for the Global Sports Forum, a leading thought-leadership platform for dialogue about future trends in the sport industry.
Lucien Boyer is a frequent speaker at many international conferences including Advertising Week Europe, the IPC Marketing Summit and the Ivy Sports Symposium amongst others. He has also been featured in various influential media including Bloomberg TV, The Guardian and Le Figaro as well as industry journals such as SportsPro, SportBusiness and SportCal.
